Catherine Birdo (or just Birdo outside Japan) is a fictional character in the Super Mario series who made her debut in Super Mario Bros. 2. She was at first an antagonist working for Wart, but she later turned good and became Yoshi's girlfriend. Just like Yoshi, Birdo is voiced by Kazumo Totaka. However, in Super Mario Advance, Birdo was originally voiced by Jen Taylor.
Male Birdo[]
In Super Mario Bros. 2 (Game Boy Advance version), you can tell a Birdo's gender by whether or not you can pull its bow off. All Pink Birdos (like this one) are female, while Red and Green Birdos are male.
